Year 7 & 8 Hardball

Who: Age 11-13, School Year 7 & 8

Where: Games around the Hutt Valley. Trentham Memorial Park is our homeground.

When: Saturdays mornings, Start times range from 0830 - 11am. Games take 3 - 3.5hrs.

What is it ?: This is the players first experience of 'Out' cricket (outside of Hawkes Bay camps), with batters able to be dismissed (after facing 6 balls). There are other rules players will experience for the first time such as: retirements, Bowling from both ends (they swap ends after 5 overs), Longer boundaries and LBWs (very specific circumstances).
